Bridges, Jeanette and Michael Winetsky’s Day Habilitation Program, is designed to serve individuals who need a more structured environment. This program is dually funded by NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and the Department of Health.
The environment consists of small classroom settings with an intense staff/student ratio. The daily program focuses on cognitive remediation. Each day, members develop a schedule with staff based on the groups being offered that day….whether it be working on cognitive software or joining the music or current event groups.
Through this more structured program, we hope to give individuals the environmental support they need to stay focused on meeting their goals.
